Update on Malak Taiser

NEWS!!!

Good news this morning: at 8:00 Malak Taysir was operated on.  As I am writing she is in the operating room. This will be a very long operation, of about 4 hours, the doctors are trying to save her knee which has been set at a 90 degree position for nine months because of the scarring from the burns. Only later on they will start working on her scars from the burns. This is a very delicate operation and other specialists are helping doctors from the orthopedic department. The medical staff has been very supportive and dedicated to this case and we are all trying our best to make Malak and her mother feel like they have a family away from their family.
